A game I want to play on it requires DirectX 11. The problem is that Windows 10 is DirectX 12, Intel HD 3000 officially supports up to DirectX 10.1. It can even double-display if I attach a second monitor or a projector. Technically, it is running on a Microsoft Driver for HD 3000. Recently, it updated to the latest build - 18363.836.Īnyway, after scouring the Internet (Microsoft and Intel websites specifically), I realized that Intel stopped supporting 2nd Generation graphics and Windows 10 DOES NOT OFFICIALLY support HD 3000 also known as Sandy Bridge.

  • Microsoft told us "Everything's ok in upgrading your system" by the horrible GWX10 app (Microsoft's fault).
  • The table you referenced in many post of yours should have been published a long before the date of Windows 10 release, so that users with "not so young" pc/notebook could have been advised of potential risks in upgrading their systems. I'm sorry but Intel's behaviour seems to me at least unfair on customers.
